Parcel
Parcels must be clearly labelled with the recipient’s delivery address, contact details and telephone number.
Packaging
Parcels must be well protected by strong and adequate packing. During the journey to their final destination, parcels will be machine processed and will need good inner and outer packaging. Ensure that outer packaging is of high quality, moisture resistant, and at least of double wall corrugated cardboard.
Parcel Labelling
At the end of ordering, a label will be available for printing which needs to be attached to the parcel. This label will be scanned by the driver on arrival and will automatically record your parcel on the system. This ensures that your parcel can be tracked. If the person booking is the delivery recipient, they will be given the opportunity to save the label in order to email it across to the sender, who can then print it and attach it to the parcel. The driver cannot accept a parcel if there is no label attached.
The courier will not accept items wrapped in plastic bags or items without packaging.
Height / Weight Restrictions
Maximum size and weight limits for sending items within Ireland, the UK, and Rest of the World destinations are as follows:
1. Maximum individual parcel limit: 20kg
2. Maximum parcel length: 1.5M
3. Maximum length and girth combined: 3.0M
General Guidance
To minimise risk of damage, please ensure that fragile items don’t touch each other, or the sides of the carton. Inside the carton ensure that all hollow spaces are filled with padding, such as bubble wrap, polystyrene chips, crushed paper etc. to ensure the contents are protected. Try not to use second hand or used cartons or packing which already show signs of wear and tear. If you do, please make sure you remove any old labels. Do not send your parcels bundled, but always separately. Use a strong adhesive tape to seal the parcel properly on all sides, and if metal paper fasteners or staples are being used, flatten any sharp ends and cover them with tape. Use padded envelopes for smaller, oddly shaped items – keys for example.
