CityPOST offers Standard Service and Priority Service options, both of which are designed to help you benefit from the right balance between cost and speed. Simply decide what service you need - if your parcel delivery is really urgent and you are Dublin based, use the Priority Service - if not, save even more money by using our Standard Service.
Printing Labels
Our CityPOST parcel service can only be booked on-line and you must be able to print labels when you make your booking. At the end of the process the label must be printed and attached securely to the parcel in preparation for collection - if you do not have a printer connected to your computer at the time of booking you will not be able to complete the booking process.
Collection and Delivery
Enter collection and delivery details and please ensure that all requested information is supplied, and mandatory data fields completed. Please note that we cannot guarantee a specific collection or delivery time.
Collection and Delivery Times
Most deliveries are made in the morning and collections tend to be made in the afternoon. It is, however, possible that our collections and deliveries can be made at any stage between 8.30am and 6.30pm. Please state business opening hours in the ‘special instructions’ section of the order form and we will try our best to accommodate you- please note that we cannot guarantee it but we certainly will try.
Cost Calculation
When you send a parcel, the price charged will depend on the weight and destination. To calculate the charge, we need to know how much it weighs. Weigh your parcel to the nearest kilogram, and enter the details in the boxes provided - the price calculator will calculate the cost. If you are sending multiple parcels to the same destination, you must include the weight of each parcel separately, as each parcel will incur an individual charge. *Please note, when your parcel is received at our distribution centre, the weight will be checked for accuracy and a surcharge may be applied if the weights entered are incorrect.
Payment Options
You can pay by Credit Card, Debit Card or PayPal - if you a need to send parcels on a regular basis, you can register for an account to be opened.
Confirmation
Your booking confirmation number will be provided to you at the end of the booking process. You will then be contacted by a customer service representative to confirm the scheduled collection.
Parcel Labelling
Parcels must be clearly labelled with delivery address and contact details, including the recipient's telephone number. You must also ensure that you have attached the printed tracking label to the parcel. Remember to take a note of the unique consignment identification number so that you can check the status of delivery on the track and trace section of the website.
Parcel Collection
Parcel collection will be scheduled within 24 hours of your booking. Standard service orders must be booked before 5.00pm Monday to Friday to ensure collection can be scheduled for the next working day . Bookings received after 5.00pm will be fall into the following day's booking timeframe. Bookings made over weekends will be scheduled for collection on Tuesday.
Our customer service team will then be in contact to confirm the collection. Before the courier collects your parcel, you must ensure that your parcel is well packed, correctly labelled and that you have attached the printed tracking label to the parcel. Remember to take a note of the unique consignment identification number so that you can check the status of delivery on the track and trace section of the website.
Priority Service bookings must be made before 2.00pm on the day of collection. A dedicated courier will collect your parcel within 2 hours of booking to ensure its meets its delivery deadline.
